Last Friday the Vastari team attended the opening of the biannual Russian Art Week at GRAD (Gallery of Russian Art and Design) in Little Portland Street.


The function was very well attended and opened a ten day event for which all Russian art enthusiasts have long been waiting for.

The Russian Ambassador, Alexander Vladimirovich Yakovenko gave a short speech underlining that the Russian Art Week in part of the celebrations of the 2014 UK-Russia Year of Culture.



GRAD is displaying the model and photographs of the famous Shabolovka Tower designed by Vladimir Shukov in 1919. The construction, erected in 1922 is currently facing the possibility of demolition and this exhibition is part of a program aiming to raise awareness and funds to preserve it.

The Russian Art Week offers a variety of events such as auctions, exhibitions and concerts.
